Dance Season 2012-2013 has arrived!

Wow! Where did the summer go? For Impulse Dancers, the summer was relatively quiet with only being in one parade this year and no other performances.  As usual, for Lori and Whitney, summer was crazy busy and we can hardly believe the new season is upon us already.  But with all the hard work comes the excitement of another new year and we could not be more excited to start season 2012-2013.

Impulse Dance has now been serving the Mankato area for 3 years!  It all started with no more than 20 dancers and a handfull of classes all offered on the same night.  Year 2, we had about a 50% increase in enrollment and held classes 2 nights a week.  Impulse Dance is only one month in to the new season and is very happy to say we have approximately 80 dancers enrolled in our program! We are very pleased to know that we are news worth spreading, parents telling other parents and giving us the chance to share our passion for dance with so many more dancers.  With 1 Kindergarten class and 2 Preschool classes full and all other classes close to spilling over, we now offer class 3 nights a week!

Surveys were filled out at the end of last year by dancers/parents and our Zumba participants.  We are always looking for your feedback on how we can improve.  Part of our desire to be fun and affordable includes family, the entire family.  We know it can be hassle to drive one child to soccer, pick one up from piano and bring another to dance class.  All of these have a hit on the pocket book and also effects quality time with your family etc.  Impulse Dance took into consideration all of the survey results and look forward to putting to use subtle but helpful to you changes going into season 2012-2013.

For dancers, the past 3 weeks have been perhaps nerve wracking and for others full of excitement.  A new dance class or being in dance for the VERY first time means meeting new friends, learining new rules and all these silly dance steps like plie', tendu & arabesque.

For Miss Lori and Miss Whitney it is full of excitement to see old and new faces all eager to learn something new today!  Smiles as they get to share their favorite color with the class or to be able to show other dancers a step that they remembered from last year. As fast as the summer may go, one thing remains the same year after year...as a dance teacher summer gets long, real long and we miss dance class, we miss our dancers & we miss all the joy that we receive from sharing our passion with others.
